Getting Started

How to start using Polyspaace addons and assets?

1. Download the assets

Then it's the time to download the assets. You can simply use the Quick Download button on the asset browser (to download the .flowasset file) or enter the asset page and select the format you need - edpecially when you want to download the materials with specific resolutions. Save all the .flowasset files in one place

Using Quick Download

From the Asset Page

2. Download and install Flow addon

It is extremely recommended to use our assets with Flow addon. It will help you to install the downloaded assets, easily append them to the scene and then easily customize. Choose Flow Basic if you are using the free account or Flow Pro if you have an active subscription.

To install Flow, open Blender, open Edit-Preferences-Add-ons and click the small arrow icon on the top-right corner of the window. Then press Install from Disk, find the downloaded .zip file with Flow addon and double-click on it or select and press OK.

Then you must create the library. It is recommended to simply download a flowpak bundle, eg. Interior Essentials Starter, and install it as a new library within Flow. You can also create blank library, by selecting the filepath and clicking 'Create Library' button, what is described in the next paragraph.

3. Create Library or initialize one by installing the .flowpak

To finish Flow configuration, you must select path (or paths) where your assets will be installed. In preferences of Flow addon (just where you have installed it), expand Flow and scroll down to the library paths. To initialize new library, press 'Add another library path'. In the new row, enter your library name (can be anything), press folder icon and head to the directory of your choose. Then press ok. The addon will tell you that the path is not yet correct, so you need to press the button below Create new Library. The required folders will be created automatically in that path and the library will be ready to manage the assets. You can add as many libraries as you need. You can also initialize the new library by installing the .flowpak bundle. Just select the desired filepath, press install .flowpak library and find your downloaded .flowpak file. The library will be automatically unpacked in that directory, initializing the fresh library.

4. Install the assets with Flow

When you have the downloaded assets, open Flow and on the top of the Flow N-Panel, you will find the Install Assets button right over the library selection. Press the button and in the popup window head to the directory with the downloaded assets, select all the downloaded .flowasset files (simply press 'A' with the mouse over the files) and press OK
The assets will automatically install into the selected library directory, with automatic categorization and will also be available in the Blender Asset Browser, if the library path is connected to the system.

5. Add the assets to your scene

You can now browse your assets within the Flow panel, and add them to your scene by pressing Place On 3d Cursor. The asset will spawn on your 3d cursor. You can also use CTRL+SHIFT+A to perform this action

6. Feel free to discover Flow your own way
